Didn’t Mary do us proud last month? I thoroughly enjoyed unleashing my inner artist and my paintings now have pride of place on my fridge. I do think we’re lucky to have such a lot of talent on our committee.

This month local author Lizzie Page will be talking about her latest book ‘The Airline Girl’ which is set around Southend airport after the second world war. Many thanks to Cherry for this recommendation.
Upcoming Meetings
November Christmas crafting and craft stash busting. Do you have unfinished craft projects that make your heart sink every time you look at them? House full to bursting with wool, fabric, glitter pens etc? One woman’s remorse purchase is somebody else’s treasure so bring it along and make somebody’s day.
December The WosWI Christmas Panto. (Oh no it isn’t!) Do you like performing? Would you like a speaking part? Let me know and we’ll write you in.
January Two Atlantic rowers will be sharing their experiences
February James Hillery from Great British Bake Off is coming to talk (and bring biscuits!!)
Quiz
Our quizzes are always great fun, as well as being a really good way to raise money for our charity. The next one will be November 20th at St Edmunds Hall. £40 for a table of 8 or £5 per person. Reservations now open and will be taken at the next meeting or by replying to this email.

Changes to the committee
I would like to say a massive thank you to Sarah Oliver for her years of service to WoSWI, including taking responsibility for keeping the website up to date. Sarah has decided it’s now time to step down from committee duties and we will miss her. It isn’t all bad news though as Sue White, a long standing ex committee member, has decided to come back to us! Welcome back Sue, to you and your lovely cakes!
