Ideas for next year's WI Campaign

Suggested resolutions for next year.

The WI has a long history of campaigning on a wide range of issues that matter to women and their communities. Over the past 100 years, WI members have campaigned to empower and support women within society, exerting their individual and collective influence; brought a series of controversial issues into the public domain; and brought about many changes in legislation and government policy.

It is time, for those members who want to, to start thinking about a subject for next year's campaign. Jane suggest starting by thinking about things that irritate you. . .

e.g. Jane's grypes:

 1.Station toilets generally down/ up stairs . . .

2. Wheeled devices on pavements - nowhere safe for pedestrians to roam. . .

3. General lack of manners/ consideration . . .

Are any of Jane's/ your grypes worthy of action on a national scale to "do something about it"? Before being submitted as a resolution the grype would have to be worded very precisely and unambiguously. Anyway, if you have anything you wish to put forward for discussion please write your idea on a piece of paper and pass it on to Jane Sealy at the next meeting. Please also indicate whether you are interested in a sub-group to discus campaigns/ resolutions.
